Today’s YouTube Video – Proxy media in Final Cut Pro 10.4.10

Updates for Final Cut Pro have added significant improvements to the workflow for Proxy Media. Now you can transcode to H.264 proxy as well as ProRes and importantly you are able to reduce the size of the Proxy files for off-line editing. H.264 in itself is smaller than ProRes, and able to reduce that size even further, especially if you want to share with colleagues over the internet or leave your Original/Optimized media in the studio while you take a small proxy project out on the road
Now you can View both Proxy and Optimized Media in the same timeline with the “Proxy Preferred” Option.
