Adding Chapter Markers in FCP X – update for 10.0.6

When Apple upgraded Final Cut from FCP 7 to Final Cut X, there were a number of features that were not offered in the new version.

One of those was Chapter Markers for DVDs.

However – Since the FCP X update 10.0.6, Chapter Marker creation has now been added to FCP. This means that you do not need to open your project in FCP X again.

  1. This is just what I need, I wish Apple would sort it out, but this will do nicely for now. Thanks!

    • Stuart,
Make sure you save as a reference file and put the original clip and the reference file into a folder so you don’t accidently delete the original file.
